I thankfully have a couple days off from work, which is the primary reason for my lack of energy and creativity!

I've had one day off so far, and I am FEELING more creative and I AM DRAWING!

Not the ugly easy-to-draw boots, but how I'm feeling!

Haven't been feeling tip-top lately, My work-from-home Day Job has been high-stress lately (which hasn't been helping my health or mood). I'm grateful to have the job, so bills groceries and crap can be taken care of.. but it's taking a toll on me.

Drawing is helping me stay afloat!

I'm just sketching though. I feel I need to really sketch out and nail down a style before I go back in to ink and color stuff.

So it'll be sketches, until further notice!

So I've FINISHED the illustration series! See "Animus" 1 through 10 in my Art tab! Lewwwwwd!

But I've STILL got a 4-6 page comic in the works and doing my official character sheets.

I'm trying to make as much art as I can while also working from home. It's hard to split time between a dayjob and my art! Especially now since quarantine started my "day-job" is inside my HOUSE. AUUGH.

I've got a pretty large amount of stuff (well, large for ME) on the horizon...

• a 4-6 page comic
• a five illustration sequential series
• character sheets for my story

The slowdown I've been experiencing has been (a) real life getting in the way (work... responsibilities... damn it sucks sometimes) but another factor has been that I figure out a better or faster way to do something while drawing or coloring, and then look back at the other unfinished stuff and feel I've got to make that change everywhere.

For example, I figured out a better way to draw feet and shoes. and that's a lot of feet and shoes I gotta change.

Bear with me... I will have new stuff to put out there!

I really need to make a strong effort to start and finish more simple pieces.

I always START something simple... but in order to keep my interest I twist a thing there... I add another element there, I decide to add a background... then I imagine what happened BEFORE this image, and what would happen AFTER this image, and before I'm done with a drawing session, what started as a simple one-off drawing has now turned into a 4-5 Illustration sequence.

I'm gonna DO this sequence, but after this I have to make more of an effort to starting and finishing SIMPLE pieces.

It's cold, I'm hungry, and I'm going through months of old art getting it ready for the gallery here!

I hope to have it all up TODAY before I've gotta (sigh) go to bed early so I can wake up for worrrk tomorrow
